USS MAKIN ISLAND (LHD 8) FY28 Docking Selected Restricted Availability (DSRA) Request for Proposal(s)
NAVSEA is soliciting a single contractor for the FY28 Docking Selected Restricted Availability (DSRA) of USS MAKIN ISLAND (LHD 8), a complex maintenance, modernization, and repair availability. The contract will be awarded on a coast-wide basis on the West Coast and will require substantial facilities, including a capable pier and sufficient human resources to integrate multiple ship maintenance areas. This procurement will not be set aside for small business due to a lack of capable small business concerns. Interested offerors must be registered in SAM and monitor PIEE for solicitation release, with restricted attachments accessed through the designated specialists or SWRMC librarian. A single award is anticipated by or before March 2027, with performance beginning in November 2027 and expected completion in October 2029.
