Yard Diving Tender (YDT) Request for Information (RFI)
The U.S. Navy is issuing a Request for Information (RFI) to assess existing or in-development craft designs for a Yard Diving Tender (YDT) to replace two current vessels used by the Naval Diving and Salvage Training Center. The Navy intends to award a contract in Fiscal Year 2027 for up to two U.S.-built and U.S.-flagged craft, with delivery to Panama City Beach, FL. Key requirements include a vessel approximately 52 meters long, a cruise speed of at least 15 knots, a 400-nautical-mile range, Dynamic Positioning class 2, and ABS compliance. Interested parties are asked to provide details on vessel designs, company experience, production capacity, and approximate pricing. This RFI is for market research only and may lead to a small business set-aside or full-and-open competition.
