The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) issues solicitation N00024-23-R-6315 for the Mining Expendable Delivery Unmanned Submarine Asset (MEDUSA). Program Executive Office Unmanned and Small Combatants (PEO USC), Unmanned Maritime Systems Program Office (PMS 406) is developing MEDUSA to address the need for an advanced maritime mining system with long range offensive mining capabilities. The scope of the anticipated research and development effort includes design, fabrication, and testing of the MEDUSA systems and risk reduction activities. The Classified Addendum to the Performance Specification remains unchanged to that contained under DRAFT solicitation N00024-23-R-6315 released 31 August 2023. In the instance that an interested party has already requested and received the Classified Addendum, that version should be considered the final version for the purposes of solicitation N00024-23-R-6315. The Classified Addendum will still be provided to companies per Section L of the solicitation. Interested parties that have existing access to the DRAFT solicitation Bidders Library need not request access to the FINAL solicitation Bidders Library. This solicitation is issued electronically via PIEE (https://piee.eb.mil/) and interested parties must comply with that announcement. Interested Offerors should monitor SAM.gov and PIEE for the release of applicable amendments. This posting includes restricted attachments. Potential Offerors will need to request access to the Solicitation, Exhibit A, J-2, and J-4 via SAM or PIEE. In addition to your SAM/PIEE request, provide a written request to the Contract Specialist, Caryl Williams, at caryl.a.williams.civ@us.navy.mil and copy Contracting Officer, Antoinette Miles antoinette.m.miles.civ@us.navy.mil with your company information, including CAGE code. The Government anticipates making a single award in or around June 2024. 10/18/2023: Amendment 0001 provides a response to Bidders Questions 1-42 as located in the Bidders Library. 10/30/2023: Amendment A0002 is posted, including responses to additional Bidders Questions. 11/28/23: Amendment A0003 provides a 15 calendar day extension to the proposal submission deadline. The Government intends to release responses to additional Bidders Questions in a subsequent Amendment.
