NAVSEA has a requirement to procure brand name equipment to support the acquisition of two (2) AS(X) ships. The AS(X) System Specification includes items that are both brand-name descriptions and brand-name or equal/equivalent descriptions. In a earlier presolicitation notice (published 18 Jan 2023) , NAVSEA requested industry feedback on a listing of brand-name descriptions and brand-name or equal/equivalent descriptions. Feedback provided by industry was used to improve the AS(X) System Specification. At this time, NAVSEA is requesting additional industry feedback on the below brand-name description and brand-name or requal/equivalent descriptions. Solicited feedback cound include whether a firm believes they have an item that could be equal or equivalent to an item listed below: Air Compressors – Manufacturer ‘Bauer’ – Model ‘K42’ – Quantity: 2 minimum
