The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to utilize other than full and open competition to award a contract modification to the existing awarded contract N00024-20-D-5230 to extend the ordering period of the base IDIQ through fiscal year (FY) 2026. The base contract was awarded to Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation (1070 Seminole Trail, Charlottesville, VA 22901) for the necessary engineering support, integration, production, test, and fielding of these critical Inertial Navigation System (INS) components and systems in support of the Program Executive Office Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS) 6.0 Navigation Program. This extension of the ordering period of the original N00024-20-D-5230 contract will allow for the continuation of engineering support required to address system obsolescence and Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) issues associated with the AN/WSN-7/7A Ring Laser Gyro Navigators (RLGN) and AN/WSN-7B Ring Laser Gyrocompasses (RLG). This effort is also for required engineering support for the continued integration of the upgraded processor design for the new Fiber-Optic Gyro Inertial Measurement Units (IMUs) being delivered as Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) to this contract which will be executed through an engineering change proposal. This contract action will also include continued support to government testing and installation activities into FY2026 for units delivered on this contract in FY2025. NGSC is the original equipment manufacturer and sole supplier of the AN/WSN-7/7A RLGN and AN/WSN-7B RLG Systems. It is the only company that possesses the rights to the design of critical system components and expertise necessary to provide the supplies and services within the time required to meet the Navy's requirements.
