Notice of Intent to Consolidate Specification Development Availibility and Execution Support (SDAES) work requirements: In accordance with FAR 7.107-5(c), this posting provides notification of Naval Sea System's (NAVSEA) intent to consolidate the contract requirements for the Specification Availibility and Execution Support (N00024-24-R-4201) requirements. The consolidation of existing ship repair work specification development requirements under one (1) SDAES contract for in-service CG, DDG, LHD, LHA, LSD, LPD, and LCS class ships creates a portfolio of work that is level loaded and sustainable for a Contractor. Additionally, this approach provides an added benefit of standardizing the process of developing work specification requirements with all other ship classes under the technical and program management cognizance of SEA 21, the Director of Surface Ship Maintenance, Modernization and Sustainment and the Commander of the Navy Regional Maintenance Centers. More importantly, the development of the work items comprising of a ship’s availability work package will be more standardized, repeatable, and defendable during source selection processes. As such, consolidation and bundling is necessary and justified because of measurable substantial benefits to the Government through quality, schedule, and ultimately fleet readiness.
