To support Congressional National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) Fiscal Year 2023 (FY 23), the Naval Sea Systems Command intends to issue a sole source solicitation to National Steel and Shipbuilding Company, Inc. (NASSCO), 2798 Harbor Drive, San Diego, CA 92113, provided the terms and conditions of Section 128 of the FY23 NDAA can be satisfied, for the block buy of up to an additional eight (8) T-AO 205 JOHN LEWIS CLASS ships and associated spares and repair parts, engineering support, and special studies. This sole source solicitation will be limited to NASSCO and any resultant contract would be awarded without full and open competition pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(3), Industrial mobilization; engineering, developmental, or research capability; or expert services. Companies interested in subcontracting opportunities should contact NASSCO directly. The pre-solicitation notice is for information only and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to solicit contractual offers or award contracts. The Government is not soliciting, nor will it accept, proposals as a result of this synopsis. The Government will not reimburse respondents for any questions submitted or information provided as a result of this notice.
