The contemplated contract is for the proc... The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to award a Firm Fixed Priced commercial contract to Rolls-Royce Corporation, 450 S. Meridian St, Indianapolis, IN 46225. The contemplated contract is for the procurement of Landing Craft, Air Cushion (LCAC) 100 Class MT7 Engines post-delivery support activities. The contract will include one (1) base year and four (4) option years of post-delivery MT7 program support, in-service MT7 Engine engineering/technical support, MT7 Field Service Representative support and MT7 Engine Technical Manual revisions. The contract will include five annual options for MT7 Engine Familiarization Training at various Government locations. The contract will also include the potential to place orders, for up to five (5) years after contract award, for spare parts, consumable materials, the repair of MT7 repairable components, and Depot Level open and inspect actions on in-service MT7 engines. This requirement will be negotiated on a sole-source basis in accordance with statutory authority 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. As the original equipment manufacturer of the MT7 Engine, Rolls Royce Corporation is the only source with the requisite knowledge and experience required to perform these activities. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
