The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to award a Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) delivery order under AN/SPQ-9B Anti-Ship Missile Defense (ASMD) Radar System Basic Order Agreement (BOA) N00024-19-G-5502 between the United States Navy and DRS Laurel Technologies of Johnstown, PA for the procurement of 36 spare parts on a sole-source basis. The contemplated order will be awarded pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 (a)(2)(ii). As the current AN/SPQ-9B production contractor, DRS is the only company with the requisite knowledge to ensure alignment of the spares order with the current AN/SPQ-9B production contract without unacceptable delays.
