The Naval Sea System Command (NAVSEA) is hereby issuing a RFI on behalf of the Support Ships, Boats, and Craft Program Office (PMS 325), to assist in informing the procurement strategy phase to recapitalize Yard Repair, Berthing and Messing (YRBM) Berthing Barges. These craft are currently in use by U.S. Fleet Forces Command and Pacific Fleet Command. Design and construction of one craft will be awarded initially, with options for four additional craft. The RFI responses will assist NAVSEA in developing and further defining future procurement and acquisition strategies. RFI responses will also serve as a means for shipyards to communicate their design and construction capabilities. Please note that only shipyards located in the U.S. will be eligible to submit a proposal should an RFP be issued for YRBM. Attachment 2 includes the responses to questions received under this RFI.
