MH-60R Airborne Low Frequency Sonar (ALFS) Weapon Replaceable Assemblies (WRA) Support and Sustainment
The Government intends to negotiate multiple sole-source orders over FY27–FY31 under a Basic Ordering Agreement with Thales Defense & Security, Inc. (TDSI) of Clarksburg, MD, with NAVAIR in Patuxent River, MD, for AN/AQS-22 Airborne Low Frequency Sonar product support, development, sustaining engineering, repairs, spares, and logistics for MH-60R and Foreign Military Sales customers. The first planned task order requires a sustaining engineering evaluation of three Government Furnished Equipment Specialized Test Equipment benches—RMTB, TATB, and RMCSTB—including hardware/software analysis and documentation to establish baseline configurations and Technical Data Packages. The sole-source justification states TDSI is the U.S. subsidiary of the original designer/manufacturer and holds the proprietary data, source code, drawings, and domestic repair capability needed for these efforts. The notice is market research and will consider capability statements from responsible sources able to demonstrate relevant experience, staffing, security clearance capability, and technical skills. Firms interested in subcontracting opportunities are encouraged to contact TDSI directly.
