8(a) Sole Source (FAR 19.8)

This is a sole-source, firm fixed-price modification intended for Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems to provide an airframe field service representative for the Hellenic Navy's S-70B/MH-60R aircraft. The period of performance is from 01 August 2026 through 30 July 2028. The work is to be performed by the contractor in Owego, New York. The government justifies the sole-source action because Lockheed Martin is the sole designer and manufacturer of the aircraft system, possessing the unique technical data and capabilities required. While the notice is not a request for competitive proposals, the government will consider all information received within thirty days of the synopsis publication for a potential future competitive decision.
