The F-35 Joint Program Office intends to award a sole source contract to Raytheon Technologies/Pratt and Whitney Military Engines, East Hartford, CT in support of the F135 Annual Sustainment program. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Raytheon Technologies/Pratt and Whitney Military Engines, is the original designer, developer, and manufacturer of the F135 propulsion system. The contract is anticipated to be awarded during the first quarter of fiscal year (FY) 2025 and supports the F-35 Joint Program U.S. Services, Non-U.S. DoD Partners, and Foreign Military Sales from FY25 to FY34. This notice of intent is neither a request for proposal nor a solicitation of offers. Based upon any responses to this notice, the Government reserves the right to process this procurement action on a sole source basis.
