(CHA) a sole-source, Firm Fixed Price Contract under Solicitation N0001919R0047 for MJU-68/B Flare, Infrared, Countermeasures. This contract is planned to contain a base year only and is intended to satisfy Government requirements for Fiscal Year (FY) 19 with an estimated quantity of 36,156 units. The anticipated award date is 25 March 2019. These requirements will be procured in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This synopsis is for informational purposes only. Chemring Australia Pty Ltd (CHA) is the only manufacture who can satisfy the Government's requirements within the required timeframe. THIS IS NOT AN INVITATION FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented in FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, the Government will consider all responses received to this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. No solicitation will be available for this procurement.
