DESCRIPTION: THIS SYNOPSIS IS FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Precision Strike Weapons Program Office, PMA-201, intends to negotiate and award a Cost plus Fixed-Fee Order with Lockheed Martin (LM) under Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-16-G-0008 for Product Improvement Studies for the Enhanced Laser Guided Training Round (ELGTR). Specifically, LM will be required to 1) conduct a carriage and compatibility study of the BDU-59B/B ELGTR on the F-35 internal and external carriage points,2) Support CNU-571 shipping container modernization effort to increase load to 4 LGTRs per container and 3) Implement defined producibility initiatives on current and Shelf Life Extended variants. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. THE GOVERNMENT WILL NOT PAY NOR REIMBURSE ANY COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH RESPONDING TO THIS REQUEST.
