Low-Rate Initial Production (LRIP) for Joint Multiple Effects Warhead System (JMEWS) for Tomahawk Block Vb
NAVAIR PMX-280 Tactical Tomahawk, Patuxent River, MD, intends to award a sole-source contract to Raytheon Company, Tucson, AZ, for Low-Rate Initial Production of the Joint Multiple Effects Warhead System (JMEWS). Raytheon has been the sole Tomahawk developer, designer, and manufacturer since 1994 and is the only known source capable of meeting the requirement in the required timeframe without duplicating costs. The JMEWS warhead suites are for the Tomahawk Block Vb missile variant, transitioning the program from Engineering and Manufacturing Development to production. The action will be solicited and negotiated with only one responsible source under FAR 6.302-1; all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, but this is not a request for competitive proposals. Tomahawk Missile data is export controlled and unavailable to foreign sources or representatives, and subcontracting inquiries may be directed to Xylina Padilla at RTX.
