This is a notice of intent to negotiate a new task order for the re-design of a discontinued illuminator unit critical to the guidance system of Tomahawk missiles. The work is intended to be awarded to Raytheon in Tucson, AZ, as they are cited as the only known source with the necessary proprietary data and expertise. The re-design is required to ensure continued missile production and mitigate material obsolescence. Capability statements from other parties will be considered.
