NAVAIR intends to award a sole-source order to General Atomics-Aeronautical Systems, Inc. under a Basic Ordering Agreement for development, modification, and integration of the Cloudsurfer pod into the MQ-9A MUX MALE UAS. GA-ASI would serve as prime system integrator and coordinate subcontractors for the CSP capability. The order covers recurring and non-recurring engineering, analyses and studies, training and support, hardware and support equipment, spares and repair parts, and programmatic, engineering, logistics, and technical support. Award is required by September 2027. The Government intends to negotiate with only one source because GA-ASI is the sole designer, developer, manufacturer, and integrator of the MQ-9; interested parties may provide capability information, and subcontracting inquiries should go directly to GA-ASI.
