NAVAIR intends to award a sole-source modification to Insitu, Inc., of Bingen, Washington, for highly specialized engineering and flight support services for the FLARES ScanEagle Unmanned Aircraft System. The effort includes Track Quality flight testing support and Environmental Shock qualification testing support over a 12-month period. Insitu is the Original Equipment Manufacturer and holds proprietary data rights required for the testing, and no other source possesses the necessary technical data or capability without causing unacceptable delays.
