The Naval Air Systems Command intends to award a sole-source, firm fixed-price delivery order to The Boeing Company for software updates to the Common Munitions BIT/Reprogramming Equipment. The justification is that Boeing is the sole designer and manufacturer of the related tactical missiles and possesses the unique proprietary data and skills required. While the action is planned as sole source, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement for consideration. Subcontracting opportunities may be available directly through Boeing.
