NAVAIR intends to negotiate and award a cost plus fixed fee task order on a sole source basis to The Boeing Company for rain erosion tape used on the F/A-18 Leading-Edge Flap. Boeing is the sole designer, developer, and integrator of this item and is the only source possessing the necessary technical data, as the government does not own a complete F/A-18 drawing package with Government Purpose Rights. This acquisition is being pursued under the authority permitting only one responsible source. This notice is not a request for proposal, and no contract will be awarded based on responses.
