The F/A-18E/F and EA-18G Program Office intends to issue a firm fixed price competitive solicitation for non-recurring engineering to transition nose and main landing gear conformal anodes from legacy cadmium plating to low hydrogen embrittlement zinc/nickel plating. The contractor would design, develop, fabricate, and deliver conformal anodes, associated technical drawings, and anode cases for the specified landing gear components. The contractor would also perform first article inspection with the existing landing gear overhaul line and use current density analysis reports to confirm adequate thickness and uniformity of the Zn/Ni plating. The contractor would provide necessary updates to the Technical Data Package to support the transition.
