NAVAIR Patuxent River intends to award a Firm Fixed Price modification to Bell Textron Inc. in Fort Worth, Texas for security requirements and a Delta Production Readiness Review covering electrical components for AH-1Z and UH-1Y and structural components for UH-1Y under the SPINE Phase III effort. This will be a sole source action because the government lacks license rights to Bell Process Specifications and Bell Standards, and qualifying another source would take an estimated eight years, causing unacceptable delay.
