The Naval Air Systems Command intends to award a sole-source contract modification to Sikorsky for Non-Recurring Engineering to redesign and retrofit a new Tail Fold Lock Actuator into the CH-53K aircraft. Sikorsky is the only responsible source due to its unique knowledge and role as the sole producer of the CH-53K. The government will consider any proposals received within fifteen days after publication of this synopsis. No budget amount is specified. Performance will occur at Sikorsky’s facility in Stratford, CT, and at NAS Patuxent River, MD.
