The Naval Air Systems Command plans to modify an existing sole-source Basic Ordering Agreement with The Boeing Company to refine requirements under Engineering Change Proposal 6516 for the F/A-18E/F, EA-18G, AF/A-18F, and AEA-18G Advanced Cockpit System Upgrade. The effort includes engineering, design, drawing, and Technical Directive updates, such as incorporating Service Life Modernization redlines through Redline 120 into AFC-729 and AFC-730, ANI uncap/unstow wiring procedures, WAT panel and HDVR part number updates, and retrofit drawing updates for ECP 6516, ECP 6514, and ECP 6552 to support a single engineering drawing release. Boeing is the only source with the unique knowledge, experience, skills, facilities, manufacturing techniques, and technical data required for these aircraft weapon systems.
