The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Airborne Strategic Command, Control and Communications Program Office (PMA-271), intends to issue a firm-fixed-price Purchase Order (PO) for the removal of sealant, application of primer and EF-5992 sealant on the Wing Station and Center Wing for one (1) E-6B aircraft under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13.5. The statutory authority permitting this sole source action is 41 U.S.C. 1901(e)(2), SAP – a sole source acquisition using SAP for the acquisition of commercial items, as implemented by FAR 13.501(a). Performance Aircraft Services, Inc. (PASI) has the requisite experience, familiarity, and is currently on-site working similar effort on this aircraft. This notice is for informational purposes only. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS and a competitive solicitation will not be issued. However, the Government will consider all capability statements, proposals, or quotations received within fifteen (15) days after the publication date of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete the subject effort is solely within the discretion of the Government.
