The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) at NAS Patuxent River, MD, intends to award a sole-source modification to Raytheon for repairing nonfunctioning Weapons Replaceable Assemblies (WRAs) and performing configuration upgrades on APG-79 radar systems. Raytheon is the sole designer, developer, manufacturer, and depot for these systems, possessing the exclusive technical data and drawings required for the work. The government has determined that only Raytheon can meet these requirements in a timely and cost-effective manner, as any other source would cause substantial duplication of costs.
