The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) at Patuxent River, MD seeks suppliers for the Deployable Flight Incident Recorder System (DFIRS) Mid-Life Upgrade for F/A-18E/F and EA-18G aircraft, including production of Weapon Replaceable Assemblies and related units. The period of performance is anticipated to begin May 2027, with a Firm Fixed Price contract type. The system must be deployable via Cartridge Actuated Device, survive terminal velocity ground impact, and maintain indefinite flotation in open ocean.
