The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to award a sole source contract to Collins Aerospace (an RTX business), Fullerton, CA, for 2025 requirements for Joint Precision Approach and Landing System (JPALS) production for the government of Italy. The contract will procure up to two (2) JPALS units and On-Board Repair Parts. This effort is being awarded on a sole source basis pursuant to the provisions of FAR 6.302-4, “International Agreement”. The Government does not intend to use the provisions of FAR Part 12 for this acquisition. The authority permitting other than full and open competition is Title 10, U.S. Code 2304 (c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, ‘Only One Responsible Source’, and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. THIS NOTICE IS PUBLISHED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not pay for any responses received. There are no commitments by the Government to issue any solicitations, make an award or awards, or to be responsible for any monies expended by any interested parties before award of a contract for the efforts mentioned above.
