This RFP is being issued on a sole-source basis to Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company, of Fort Worth, TX. In accordance with FAR 6.302-l(a)(l), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. The F-35 Joint Program Office intends to procure an F-35B LHA-8 Flight Tech Certification Plan. The project aims to reduce the flight-testing requirements for certifying F-35B operations on the new LHA-8 class ship by leveraging advanced piloted simulation techniques and historical flight test data from similar ship classes.
