The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Patuxent River, MD intends to issue a modification to the existing Sustaining Engineering and Support (SES) IV Contract, N0001924C0005, on a sole source basis to Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation (NGSC). The anticipated Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee (CPFF) contract modification is for NGSC to provide additional Integrated Test Team (ITT) aircrew support for both Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) and United States Navy (USN) to support the Triton MQ-4C Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS). This contract modification is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 3204 (a)(1) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 6.302-1, "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Type of Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements." NGSC is the sole designer, developer, manufacturer, integrator, and producer of the MQ-4C Triton air vehicles and ground stations. Therefore, NGSC is the only source with the requisite knowledge of the Triton design, operation, and maintenance to successfully provide the necessary FSRs, engineering, systems integration, and sustainment support. Unless otherwise stated herein, no formal request for proposal or additional written information is currently available. A determination by the Government not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. This synopsis is published for information purposes only.
