Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Patuxent River, MD, intends to issue a sole source firm-fixed price type contract to IBC Materials & Technologies, Lebanon, IN for the tasking required to manufacture, test, package and deliver the Launcher Adapter Unit (LAU)-127E/A Structural Section, Special Shape over an estimated 18 month period of performance. Accordingly, IBC Materials & Technologies is the only firm who has the capability to both manufacture the LAU-127E/A Structural Section, Special Shape, as well as the exclusive rights to apply the primer, coating, and urethane Plasma Electrolytic Oxidation (PEO) coating to the LAU-12X Family of Structural Section, Special Shape. This synopsis is for informational purposes only. The proposed action is for supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, “Only One Responsible Source and No Other Type of Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements.” IBC Materials & Technologies is the sole designer, developer, manufacturer, and integrator who has the capability to manufacture the LAU-127E/A Structural Section, Special Shape and therefore is the only contractor with the requisite knowledge, experience, and technical data that can meet the Government's requirements on a timely basis and in a cost effective manner. The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Patuxent River, Maryland, Program Executive Office for Unmanned Aviation and Strike Weapons (PEO (U&W)), Precision Strike Weapons (PMA-201), Aircraft Armament Equipment (AAE) Program Office, intends to issue a Sole Source Firm-Fixed Price type contract to IBC Materials & Technologies, Lebanon, IN for the tasking required to manufacture, test, package and deliver the Launcher Adapter Unit (LAU)-127E/A Structural Section, Special Shape.
