Synopsis Basic Ordering Agreement in Support of AN/ALE-55 The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), NAS Patuxent River, MD, intends to issue future delivery orders under a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) to BAE Systems, Nashua, NH, for supplies and services to support the AN/ALE-55 Subsystem and associated equipment. The BOA will include, but is not limited to, logistics and engineering efforts to procure materials, support equipment, test equipment, and piece parts; maintain technical data; repair and refurbish materials, support equipment, and piece parts; support Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) efforts; and support test and fleet aircraft installs. The engineering support efforts to be procured under this BOA include, but are not limited to: fault analysis and corrective actions; performance of studies as required; analysis and evaluation of engineering tradeoffs; software/hardware development efforts; field (test and fleet) support; integration support; and other engineering efforts in support of the AN/ALE-55. Additionally, limited procurement of the AN/ALE-55 Subsystem may be required. Specific requirements and deliveries will be included in individual BOA delivery orders. Additionally, each order under this BOA will be synopsized individually in accordance with FAR Subpart 5.2. The proposed contract action(s) are those for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, “Only One Responsible Source and No Other Type of Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements.” This synopsis is for informational purposes only. There is no commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation, make an award, or be responsible for any funds expended by the interested parties before award of a contract for the effort described above. Information herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit for or award a contract. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. Interested parties, however, may identify their interest and capability by responding to the requirement. The Government will consider all information received prior to the closing date of this synopsis. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract modification based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
