The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), NAS Patuxent River, MD intends to negotiate and award a Cost-Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) contract on a sole source basis to BAE Systems, Nashua, NH. The contract action will procure repairs, technical and field support, and associated travel in support of the AN/ALE-55 Fiber-Optic Towed Decoy. The contract is anticipated to include a base period with additional options in support of Domestic and FMS requirements. This requirement will be procured in accordance with the statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition under Title 10 U.S.C 3204 (a)(1) (formerly known as 10 U.S.C 2304 (c)(1)), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." This synopsis is for informational purposes only. There is no commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation, make an award, or be responsible for any funds expended by the interested parties before award of a contract for the effort described above.
