The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to award a firm-fixed-price-type contract modification to The Boeing Company (Boeing), Saint Louis, MO, on an other than full and open basis. The efforts shall be procured pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 301(a)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, “only one responsible source and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements”. The contract actions will cover a Revision to Engineering Change Proposal 6514 for F/A-18-E/F and F/A-18F/G to update documentation with the new part number for the HDVR door correction, add SCS ECP verbiage, and remove zeroize wire for O-Level TD. Boeing is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer for the F/A-18 aircraft in its various configurations, and therefore is the only responsible source with the requisite knowledge, experience, and technical data that can meet the Government’s requirements without resulting in unacceptable delays in fulfilling the Navy’s requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested persons may submit a capability statement identifying their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. The Government will consider any capability statements submitted by identified closing date of this announcement.
