Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to enter into sole source negotiations and subsequently award a Modification under N00019-22-C-0033, to General Atomics, San Diego, California (CA) for CVN 81 EMALS/AAG hardware storage management, to include preservation and calibration. The place of performance is Tupelo, MS and contract award is scheduled for second quarter of calendar year 2024. The authority permitting other than full and open competition is Title 10, U.S. Code 3204(a)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, 'Only One Responsible Source', and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. GA is the only company with the technical expertise to provide this support to satisfy the CVN 81 production schedule and United States Navy’s requirements. There is no commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation, make an award, or be responsible for any money expended by interested parties before award of a contract for efforts described above. Interested parties, however, may identify their interest and capability by responding to the requirement. The Government will consider all information received prior to the closing date of this synopsis. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. No phone inquiries will be entertained.
