Update: The Contractor shall build and deliver prototype sets of each TRP related assembly and the auto-switch related assembly. The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to award a sole source, BOA order to BAE Systems, Information and Electronic Systems (BAE), Greenlawn, NY, for the integration of Target Report Processor (TRP) into the Common Core Digital Interrogator (CCDI). The AN/UPX-24(V) is a Government-developed system that will be modernized into a smaller Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) set. This modernization of the AN/UPX-24(V) is referred to as the Target Report Processor. The Contractor shall integrate the Government-furnished TRP into the Common Core Digital Interrogator. BAE Systems, as the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the CCDI is the only firm capable of integrating the Government-furnished TRP in the timeframe required. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements". The Government does not intend to use the provisions of FAR Part 12 for this acquisition.
