The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Patuxent River, MD, intends to issue a sole source Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee (CPFF) contract to Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation (NGSC), San Diego, CA. The anticipated CPFF contract will provide sustaining engineering, maintenance, and logistics support for the Triton MQ-4C Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS). NAVAIR anticipates a contract award in second Quarter Fiscal Year 2024 with an anticipated Period of Performance commencing in March 2024 and concluding March 2027. This contract is anticipated to have three, 12 month, contract periods totaling 36 months of Sustaining Engineering Support requirements. This contracting action is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 6.302-1, “ Only One Responsible Source and No Other Type of Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements.” NGSC is the sole designer, developer, manufacturer, integrator, and producer of the MQ-4C Triton UAS. Therefore, NGSC is the only source with the requisite knowledge of the Triton design, operation, and maintenance to successfully provide the necessary engineering, systems integration, and sustainment support. Unless otherwise stated herein, no formal request for proposal or additional written information is currently available. A determination by the Government not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. This synopsis is published for information purposes only.
