The Naval Air System Command (NAVAIR), Patuxent River, Maryland, intends to competitively award a Historical Underutilized Business (HUB) zone set-aside Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Indefinite Delivery /Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Competitive Five Year Multiple Award Contract (MAC) for the production of Metal Weapons Containers including containers for the Miniature Air Launched Decoy-Navy (MALD-N) and the Twin Lug Laser Guided Training Rounds (TLLGTR) systems. Interested HUB zone firms may identify their interest and capability by responding to the requirement. NAVAIR intends to issue a draft Request for Proposal (RFP) for purposes of receiving comments on or before the end of the second quarter of FY 20 (31 March 2020) directly to HUB Zone firms who have responded to this synopsis. HUB Zone firms should contact Marianne.Wild@navy.mil to recieve a draft RFP. NAVAIR intends to issue the final RFP on or before the end of the third quarter of FY 20 (30 June 2020). The Government will consider all information received prior to the closing date of this notice. A determination by the Government not to proceed with a HUB competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not pay for any responses received. There are no commitments by the Government to issue any solicitations, make an award or awards, or to be responsible for any monies expended by any interested parties before award of a contract for the efforts mentioned above.
