The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to award a sole source, firm fixed-price Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) order to BAE Systems Information and Electronics of Greenlawn, New York. The order will procure an upgrade of the existing C-12720 RCU OFP software for compliance to DoD AIMS 17-1000 and for stable platform integration in the AN/APX-123A OFP version 7.6 Transponder Set. This effort is being awarded on a sole source basis to pursuant to the provisions of FAR 6.302-1, “Only One Responsible Source”. BAE, as the sole designer, developer and manufacture of the AN/APX-123, is the only company with the unique knowledge, experience, special skills, facilities, manufacturing techniques, and technical data required to perform these requirements.
