The Naval Air Systems Command intends to award a sole source, Firm Fixed Price BOA order to BAE Systems, Information and Electronic Systems (BAE), Greenlawn NY, for the fabrication of (1) Interface Test Adapter (ITA), (1) Engineering Test Equipment (ETE) and (1) M5 Panel, using an existing design developed under a prior contract, in support of the AN/APX-118/123/123A program. Additonal spare provisioning piece-parts will be procured in order to support repairs of the common transponder at the Tobyhanna organic depot. BAE, as the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the AN/APX-118/123/123A, is the only company with the requisite and unique knowledge, special skills, experience, facilities, manufacturing techniques, and technical data required to perform these efforts. This effort is being awarded on a sole source basis pursuant to the provisions of FAR 6.302-1, “Only One Responsible Source”.
