The Naval Air Systems Command Patuxent River, Maryland, and Naval Undergraduate Flight Training Systems Program Office (PMA273) intend to an award an order for F405-RR-401 engine equipment and engineering used by the T-45 Jet Trainer on a sole source basis to Rolls-Royce Military Aero Engines Ltd, Gypsy Patch Lane, Filton, Bristol, Avon, BS34 7QE, United Kingdom. This requirement is for the procurement of F405-RR-401 engine equipment and engineering including the Correct Rotation System Kits. The Order will include Non-Recurring Engineering efforts to deliver an Engineering Change Proposal for Correct Rotation System Kits and the Correct Rotation System Kits. This order is expected to award by 01 June 2021 with a 12-month period of performance and four 12-month options. This order will be for 100 kits and as necessary engineering labor. Rolls Royce plc is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for all engine equipment. This effort is being awarded on a sole source basis pursuant to the provisions of FAR 6.302-1, "Only One Responsible Source". All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. The Government will consider all capability information received prior to the closing date. This Presolicitation notice is for informational purposes only. This is not a request for proposal. It does not constitute a solicitation and shall not be construed as a commitment by the government. Responses in any form are not offers and the government is under no obligation to award a contract as a result of this announcement.
