The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to award a sole source order to BAE Systems Information & Electronic Systems Integration, Inc. of Greenlawn, NY to disable, remove, or otherwise prevent the initiation of Mode 4 logic in the AN/APX-123/123A(V) design as well as address the known Trouble Reports (TRs) in the AN/APX-123/123A(V) for correction. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements". The Government does not intend to use the provisions of FAR Part 12 for this acquisition.
