The F-35 Joint Program Office intends to solicit and negotiate a contract to Raytheon Technologies Corporation, Pratt and Whitney Military Engines, East Hartford, CT for sustainment support of the F135 propulsion system. The scope being procured under this contract will include Propulsion depot production, engineering support, unit-level support, replenishment spares, spares for depot lay-in material, and additional logistics support. The contract is anticipated to be awarded during the first quarter of fiscal year 2024 and supports the F-35 Joint Program U.S. Services, F-35 Cooperative Program Partners and Foreign Military Sales customers’ sustainment requirements for the F135 propulsion system for FY24. This notice of intent is neither a request for proposal nor a solicitation of offers. The U.S. Government plans to seek approval for a sole source award pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, “Only one responsible source.” However, any vendor that believes it should be considered a responsible source may submit a capability statement. The U.S. Government will consider all such responses provided they are received within fifteen calendar days of this notice’s publication. The determination to compete or proceed with a sole source award remains solely within the discretion of the U.S. Government.
