The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to negotiate and award a sole source firm fixed price type order with Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation (NGSC), Weapons System Division, in Northridge, CA for the production of associated Weapons Replaceable Assemblies (WRAs) for the AN/AAR-47 Missile Warning Set (MWS) to support Department of Defense (DoD) requirements. This effort is being awarded on a sole source basis to NGSC in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 because NGSC is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the equipment addressed in this synopsis and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. In addition, the Government does not own a technical data package (TDP) for the AN/AAR-47 which is suitable for competition. Drawings and data are proprietary to NGSC. A Product Verification Audit (PVA) may be required for prospective sources.
