The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Patuxent River, Maryland, intends to award a sole source, modification to Delivery Order N0001919F2420 under Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00019-17-G-0003 with Kratos Unmanned Aerial Systems, Inc. (KUAS), Roseville, CA for the procurement of Peculiar Support Equipment for the SSAT BQM-177A Program and will have a delivery date up to 12 months. This procurement will include the following: a. Eight (8) - LCC COMMUNICATION CABLE, Part Number (P/N) 8E503-105 b. Eight (8) - POWER SUPPLY, AIRCRAFT, P/N 8G010-101 c. Eight (8) - LIFT BAR, AIRCRAFT, P/N 8G120-101 d. Eight (8) - ASSY,LAUNCH CTRL PANEL,XI, P/N 7G609-101 e. Four (4)- Target Test Set, P/N 8G002-101 The BQM-177A is a subsonic, recoverable, aerial target system that emulates Anti-Ship Cruise Missile (ASCM) and Surface-to-Air Missile (SAM) in support of weapons system test and evaluation. This synopsis is published for informational purposes only. (THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS). This requirement will be procured in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. KUAS is the sole designer, developer and manufacturer of the BQM-177A SSAT to include unique mission kits, special tooling, software and support equipment. KUAS is the only known contractor with the requisite knowledge, maintenance and repair experience, and noncommercial technical data and software rights to meet the Government’s requirements for the BQM-177A SSAT system. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302-1. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. There are no commitments by the Government to issue any solicitations, make an award or awards, or to be responsible for any monies expended by any interested parties before award of a contract for the efforts mentioned above.
