The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) at Patuxent River, Maryland announces its intention to procure technical and logistics data, and validation efforts in support of the retrofit of United States Navy (USN) and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) F/A-18C/D/E/F Aircraft to incorporate Engineering Change Propsoal (ECP) 6524. This ECP is in support of updating AN/ALQ-214(V)3 hardware and software effectivity. NAVAIR intends to negotiate the effort as a sole source order on a Basic Ordering Agreement with The Boeing Company, St. Louis, MO. Award will be made with authority under FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy requirements. For this requirement, The Boeing Company has the knowledge, experience, technical and engineering data, configuration control and familiarity with the F/A-18 weapon system needed to fulfill this requirement within the time required. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and submit technical information and technical capability statement in response to this notice. Responses without a return address, mailing address, and company telephone number will not be recognized. No phone calls will be accepted. Proprietary data in the responses will be protected where so designated. A determination not to compete this proposed effort based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
