This program seeks to develop and flight-test prototype vehicles for a tactical, surface-launched hypersonic strike capability, focusing on structural, aerodynamic, and thermal performance. It aims to gather technical and cost information, including participation interest from partners, in specific Critical Enabling Technology areas. Additional performance requirements will be accessible via a controlled or classified addendum. The primary goal is to demonstrate a low-cost, tactically relevant hypersonic capability through advanced aerodynamics and control techniques. The program leverages prior research and was selected as an Innovative Naval Prototype for FY 2026.
