The following was included in a posted pre solicitation notice posted on 13 Aug 2020: The Contractor shall provide a multi-use training facility with austere terrain and an environment that provides opportunities for training, research, and technology development for the Office of Naval Research (ONR). This purchase order is intended to provide realistic terrain space to accommodate and support training, field research, and technology development. The terrain at Reveille Peak is similar to numerous operational environments including arid mountains, dense forest, large open areas, and expansive bodies of water, which provides opportunities for training and field research. The permissiveness of Reveille Peak enables organizations to conduct field research and testing in conjunction with representative end-users from target markets, mutually benefiting both the developers and the consumers through professional relationships and collaboration.
