THIS IS FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY TO GAUGE INDUSTRY CAPABILITIES REGARDING MUNITION STORAGE The 17th Contracting Squadron at Goodfellow AFB, TX is conducting market research to identify vendors capable of providing prefabricated munitions storage units IAW the desired salient characteristics listed below. This RFI is for planning purposes only and shall not be considered as an invitation for bid, request for quotation, request for proposal, or as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services. Your response to this RFI will be treated as information only. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by the Government will arise as a result of contractor submission of responses to this announcement or the Government use of such information. This request does not constitute a solicitation for proposals or the authority to enter into negotiations to award a contract. No funds have been authorized, appropriated, or received for this effort. The information provided may be used by the Air Force in developing its acquisition strategy and performance specifications. Interested parties are responsible for adequately marking proprietary or competition sensitive information contained in their response. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this RFI or to otherwise pay for the information submitted in response to it. The purpose of this RFI is assessment of vendor interest and will aid the government in identifying potential vendors and their business classification. The NAICS Code determined appropriate for this acquisition is 332999, All other miscellaneous fabricated metal product manufacturing. The size standard associated with NAICS 332999 is $30 million dollars. Vendors responding to this announcement shall indicate their business size for NAICS code 332999 and any socio-economic statuses. Please include your CAGE Code and DUNS number as well. All interested parties please respond with commercial product literature and a written capability statement IAW the attached salient characteristics. Responses shall be directed to MSgt Andre Casiano andre.casiano@us.af.mil , and A1C Dakota Hardison at dakota.hardison@us.af.mil Specifications: 1) Prefabricated Munitions storage units for the following explosive types (in weight) 1.1 - 50-lbs 1.2.2 - 15-lbs 1.3 - 150-lbs 1.4 - 2500-lbs NEW or physical capacity (roughly 500+ crates of small arms ammunition) Compatibility Groups: B, C, D, E, G and S ** Must meet or exceed ATF specs 27 CFR 555.208 and US Military specs, including DoD 5100.76M, AR 190-11, and OPNAVINST 5530.13C and manufactured IAW NSWC-3046-93-1. 2) A seperate Munitions Maintenance and Inspection workshop with the following munitions requirements: 1.1 - 25-lbs 1.2.2 - 15-lbs 1.3 - 100-lbs 1.4 - Physical Capacity Does your company do the following: a) Site preparation to enable installation of munition storage solution b) Door-to-Door delivery and installation of munition storage solution at the site c) Maintenance/sustainment/refurbishment of munition storage solution
